The Artist

LAUREL MAUL

has painted in oils and watercolor for all of her adult life studying under such notable painters as George Kelly (Hudson River School), Marie Zuckoff and Joanna Coke.  She is retired from the private practice of psychotherapy and her life time interest in psychology and the sciences is reflected in the symbolism and anatomical aspects of her art.

    In the last 10 years, Laurel has developed a unique style of digital painting which incorporates luminous color pixels. She seeks to recreate those moments of wonder and awe which we all may experience in nature. The movement in her work also speaks to a transcendental dimension in our interconnected world.

   Laurel was invited to exhibit at the Florida State Quest for the Fountain of Youth 500 Year Celebration in Gainesville. She has had several solo exhibitions in Sarasota. Her paintings paintings have won awards in Florida and New York and are on display in private and institutional collections in New York, Boston and Sarasota.
